We hope you like the updated design of our site. Thanks for your patience as we iron out the last few glitches of the change over.

I have taken some time to check out your updated design. It looks nice, clean and with the “tabs” gives a quick way to gain information about you. I like that! (8 new authors!? That is something I look forward to seeing and reading about.) I miss the scrolling “BA“‘s across the top of the screen. Yet, I see you included some of them in the different “tab’s”. I’m trying to guess why you eliminated them. Too busy? Distracting? Does this design update present itself more professionally? Possibly!

I don’t know about Adrian, but I felt the scrolling BAs were a bit distracting. I liked looking at them all together, but I think it detracted from the main logo. Having the design this way allows you to look at each photo and logo independently. I’m not sure if you realized that you can flip through all of the different photos if you just leave your mouse over the one photo.

Here’s my 2 cents on the design: The scrolling photos were kind of cool, but I think they lacked purpose. An important reason we got away from the scrolling photos was so that we could have an identity system that matched what we are trying to do with BE A DESIGN GROUP. The single (constantly changing) photo in combination with the single type (with multiple variations)is our logo. I think the concept of a constantly changing logo is appropriate for us especially as we grow into more authors. We are a group of unique and changing designers united by our shared passion for design.

I couldn’t have said it better, er… I mean, I didn’t say it better than that.

Thanks! No I didn’t know that I could flip through all of the different photos if I just left my mouse over the one photo. Cool! Still, as Adrian said above, “The single (constantly changing) photo in combination with the single type (with multiple variations)is your logo.” The “concept of a constantly changing logo is appropriate … especially as you grow into more authors.” Yet, why not just “let” it be constantly changing then! Without input from the viewer?

A. Eugene H, Input from the viewer is an important element of the design. The GROUP part of our name is more than just Bennett and I. The interactivity with our logo is a literal way to show that we are looking for interaction from people outside of Bennett (B) and I (A). It isn’t as interactive as the scrolling BA’s were, but overall I think it says what we are a little better.

I know on some of the pages, the logo wasn’t changing with the mouseover, so you may have seen it before I fixed the bug. Sorry about that.
