The word on the HOW discussion list (via RK) is that the HOW priced rooms are going fast. There are a lot of other large events going on in Chicago at the same time, so other Hotels are filling up fast as well.

I just got my official HOW conference update. It said that the Hyatt is sold out! I wonder how much the HOW attendees affected that. What else is going on in Chicago that weekend?
The email also said that the early-bird deadline has been extended. So if you still haven’t registered, you still have a chance to get the discount.

It looks like the conference is sold out. If you still want to go, they will put you on a waiting list.

Hi, I am one of those who was forced to do a presentation upon my return form this years HOW Design conference. I wish i could say that I am presenting to my creative coworkers but im not. I found that there was a lot of topics covered and the challenge is to try to talk about creativity and make it apply to everyone in the company including the sales/account people. Anyone have any ideas? Or better yet, has anyone actually done a presentaion about the design conference? I would love to hear from you!

Anjel,
I too have to present to my coworkers, but I haven’t thought about it much. Maybe I will share my experience after I do my presentation. I am planning on looking through my notes while thinking about what my coworkers can gain. I’m not sure, but I think I will be presenting to mainly the creative department. Whatever you do, the conference wasn’t really geared towards sales people. You can’t make up something that wasn’t there. Maybe they would benefit from hearing your experience, in turn understanding a designer a little better. Is this wishful thinking?
Whatever you do, just make sure you bring a full gospel choir decked out in robes. You can’t lose.
