Nebraska Postcards and Andy Warhol

by Donovan Beery, (5 comments)

Contest2005: Postcards from the Good Life is this Thursday from 7-11p.m.

AIGA Nebraska is having a gallery exhibition of all 25 postcards that made it into the competition - similar to the 2004 exhibition for Design the Hand Your Dealt, where all 54 playing cards were enlarged, and on display for an evening.

There is a last minute surprise however, and that’s that the Fluxion Gallery (where the exhibition is held) will also have a handful of original Andy Warhol artwork on display at the same time.

Postcards from the Good Life sounds interesting. I wish I could see them online. (I grew up in Nebraska, and now live in California.)

We will ‘eventually’ (read: no timetable set) display all of the postcards on the AIGA Nebraska website along with the cards from last years event. I’ll post it on this blog when completed.

Donovan,

Will you be able to purchase both sets online as well?

There will be a way to purchase sets online once they are shown. We should also have them at most of the AIGA Nebraska events throughout the year as well (excluding Third Thursdays and club(red) unless someone makes arrangements in advance).

All 25 postcards in this set are now available to view online at http://www.nebraska.aiga.org/pastevents/2005_contest/.
