BADG's RSS Subscriptions
by Adrian Hanft, (4 comments)
Be A Design Group has had an RSS feed since we started, but it is high time we promoted it. Despite all the hype surrounding RSS feeds, the concept is still a little tricky to understand for the newbie. Let me make this as simple as humanly possible:
By using any of the widely available free newsreaders, (I recommend NetNewsWire, Yahoo, or the new Safari) you can “subscribe” to any site with an rss feed. Simply enter http://www.beadesigngroup.com/rss2.php into your newsreader and you will have a subscription to Be A Design Group. That is pretty easy, right?
If you want even more RSS options we have some more feeds for you. Here are the addresses:
Comments RSS Feed http://www.beadesigngroup.com/comments.php
Podcast RSS Feed http://www.beadesigngroup.com/podcast.php

I have explained RSS — for the same reasons — in Polish on my site. Feel free to use it, should any of your readers felt like reading it in that language :) http://paweltkaczyk.midea.pl/212/

You can also use Firefox to read any RSS feed as a toolbar bookmark. You get a drop down menu that lists the topics in the feed which link to the correlating page. This can be done by entering it through the manage bookmarks window or by simply clicking the orange RSS icon that appears in the lower right corner of the Firefox window, indicating that an RSS feed is available for the site you are on (beadesigngroup.com, for instance).

Bola, Try this: When you login to My Yahoo, click on the add content button. To the right of the “Find” button, click on “Add RSS by URL.” In the URL field, enter http://www.beadesigngroup.com/index.rdf and then click add. On the following page click “Add to my Yahoo” and that should work. For some reason yahoo doesn’t like our feedburner feed. Hope that helps.
