Be A Design Cast 1 : Welcome to the BADCast
Click here to download the first-ever Be A Design Cast! or you can subscribe to it from iTunes
Crack open a Fresca, put on your 3D shades, grab a burrito from Chipotle, design something in Papyrus, and listen to the first Be A Design Cast in your MP3 player!
Be A Design Group is happy to announce the Be A Design Cast, a podcast made by designers for designers covering the news and topics (and off-topics) of the industry. Brought to you by Nate Voss, Donovan Beery, and Tom Nemitz from the recording studio at Polyfro Headquarters, in Omaha, Nebraska. You’re the first to hear it right here on Be A Design Group before the iTunes launch, so click the link above to download the Design Cast to your desktop. (The Be A Design Cast will be available on iTunes soon)
“We’re more excited than Mr. T when he heard they were starting production on DC Cab 2, Electric Boogaloo,” said Nemitz.
After you’ve given it a listen, give us your feedback. Tell us if you like it, tell us if you love it, and tell us nicely if you hate it. Be A Design Group is just that, a group, and we need your opinions to feed the fire that burns in the heart of the Design Cast.
Note from Nate: The original flavor of Fresca is actually Grapefruit. NOT lemon-lime. I know, I know!

Nice job, guys. Congratulations on the first Be A Design Cast!
p.s. Incidentally, the Chipotle logo is not set in Papyrus.

I don’t think that is what they said. I think they were refering to some new packaging. Right?
I do however like that Nate is now an iPod technician. To correct you just slightly Nate. I wasn’t implying that every person who updated their iPod would ruin it. I have done a lot of searching and a good amount of people have had serious problems after they updated their 3 & 4th Gen iPods. Of course Apple wouldn’t release an update that ruined all iPods. I think it is a glitch that Apple didn’t encounter in their testing.
I did try the Fresca. Not so good. The new design on the can and the commercials are great. The 12 pack and 16 oz. bottle are not nearly as eye catching.

Hey, now I have something do on my drive to/from work besides space out–cool, thanks! I’m still listening to it, and will let you know that I think later. But for now, congratulations on getting this project started!

I love the Be A Design Podcast, particularly the slamming of Papyrus and my personal least favorite font, Comic Sans MS.
Keep up the great work, guys! I will be e-mailing you shortly to nominate myself to provide you with a Smart British Girl-intoned introduction–if the position is still open (I’m listening to the podcasts from the beginning).

Appreciated, Stephanie. Hopefully by the time you get to the most recent Design Cast you won’t have changed your mind.
By the way, Episode 9 hits tomorrow!
