We blow the lid off this podcast with over a half hour of Superbowl ad coverage. We hope you saw the ads during the game, because it’s a podcast, and we can’t really show them to you. But we can tell you all about them! Tom takes us on a whirlwind tour of the best and worst ads of the night, Nate speaks in broad sweeping generalizations without backup, Donovan drinks Peach Fresca and, if you hang in there long enough, we even squeeze in a student tip for you on top of it all.

IFILM has an archive of the ads for those who wish to validate our expert opinions, or just watch someone get chucked in the face with a cellphone once again. And for even more fun, be sure to go to the Fresca website, click on ‘product’ and then ‘historical timeline’ to see how the packaging has evolved over the years. Unfortunately, the beverage itself has not kept up with the packaging improvements.

FYI – The song from the Sprint Commercial is from the Benny Hill Show.

Building off Rikky’s comment, the Sprint commercial ended with an homage to Benny Hill, using not only the music but spoofing his regular show ending where the girls chase him around the room.

The Benny Hill theme song is actually Yakety Sax by Boots Randolph, and is, infact, available in sprint’s music store.
