RETURN OF THE AWESOME. Now in 3-D! Or stereo, at least, and we apologize for the severe, severe, severe echo you are about to experience while we work out a slight bug in our new recording hotness, I mean process.

We welcome Superstar Designer Drew DaviesĀ® back to the show as we run for our very lives from the zombie Orville Redenbacher, who is hungry for our delicious, air-popped brains. Then we play kick-the-can with 35 different cans of Pepsi before getting Drew to theorize on the virtues of doing great work for clients who are what we call financially challenged. And of course we bring back the Taboo Typeface and Student Tip. Because really, it just wouldn’t be the BADCast without them.

NEW! Designer Homework! Listeners, send us jpegs of other products that would benefit from zombie-pitching, or at least other products Deadenbacher might shill, and we’ll post them right here after the jump!

Big thanks to the staff at the Apple Store in Omaha for letting me edit this podcast well past working hours while my computer was freaking out at home! If you’re in the area, stop by and give ‘em a hug

Welcome back guys!

Ive just subscribed to the BADCast about a week ago, and have now listened to all of them from 1 to 26. Its great! It gets better every time.

Great to hear some like-minded people talking about stuff that I actually care about.

Its also good to hear whats happing in the U.S, because I am a multimedia/graphic designer from New Zealand. so its also good to here a Gollum comment in the BADCast.

Keep it up guys.

Can’t wait to listen to it. My iPod’s been sad-empty.

There’s an Apple Store in Omaha now? How cool! I didn’t even notice while driving around Omaha over Christmas.

Finally! It’s good to have you guys back.

I agree with Peter.

Worst Hiatus Ever!

Great to have you back. There’s only so many times you can listen to Typeradio talk about the size of Stefan Sagmeister’s knob.

I clearly need to search YouTube for this Orville Redenbacher chap though. These legions of the damned haven’t made it across the Atlantic yet.

There were some good thoughts discussed but the quality of the audio file sucked! I hope that is not going to be that way in the future. Besides that, great cast and welcome back.

Wow. I thought you were over-hyping the severity of the echo so it wouldn’t seem so bad. Nope…that’s a severe, severe, severe echo.

Remember how you did that so you can use it for effect down the road.

I still maintain that Crispin Porter was doing this for buzz. First off, that is what they do. Sprite, BK (didn’t they do the Quizno’s mouse ads?) … And Nate, Of course the press release from Con Agra is going to make it sound like they think it is amazing technology. No one is going to send out PR that sounds like this. “This campaign is all about buzz, so give it to us. We like to be controversial.” In order for it to be controversial, the originator needs to make a stand. No one wants to argue with someone that doesn’t really believe what they are saying.

FYI. I have done absolutely no letterpress for my day job. I mentioned it a couple times, but it has never worked out.

Oh yeah. Go-Bots are letterpress and Transformers are offset!

Leader 1 = F14 Fighter Plane

Optimus Prime = Semi Truck

I would like to learn how to fly, instead of becoming a long hall truck driver.

First off, I have to say “thank you” to everyone for the kind words and best comments ever. “Sagmeister’s knob” may go down in the record books.

Second, yeah, that echo is wicked bad, and we’re sorting it out. It wouldn’t be a thing if recording in stereo didn’t RULE SO HARD.

And thirdly, Bennett my good man, you do not want me to turn this into a massive GoBots versus Transformers GeekOff. You do not want that. All the proof I need is right here. GoBots versus Transformers. GoBots gets one point for the Apocalypse Now reference, but Transformers gets ten for Casey Casum. And for being way awesomer.

I really appreciate what you guys do. Your podcasts are pretty good. Questions aren’t bad. Narrative is decent. But Please.. PLEASE.. Get new microphones, and go through 5 more minutes of production. You guys are rapeing my ears, and I just can’t do it anymore. Sometimes guests are super quiet, at least balance the levels!

Frist off, great to see you guys back again.

Second, I love you Nate Voss, you rock my socks.

Third, I’m super psyched to have Tom back for the next BAD cast. I was listeining to the early BAD casts and let me tell you having 3 graphic design dudes talk about Mr. T, Fresca and VH1 in 3D is just awesome with a captial A.

Same comment about the audio, though still not as bad as Debbie Millman audio. Great to see you guys back! I especially loved the hidden track at the end.

Not only is Orville a lively zombie, but their choice in photo for the about page of the teenage girls eating popcorn is particularily sexual. Love it.
