Use Design for Good Why Do I Have to Tell You Again?

Lewis black once said, “Candy corn is the only candy in the history of America that’s never been advertised. And there’s a reason. All of the candy corn that was ever made was made in 1911.”
So leave it to a designer to take what we should only put up with once a year, add a spring color pallette, and make a second batch of this junk.

Bad enough I still pay more for lunch because of design, now I have to see this stuff on the store shelves outside of October? Outrageous.

Also…they have had this for years…
They may have changed the colors, but they have always put out candy corn at easter. They may have billed them as little carrots, I can’t be sure. Either way, all they did was change the color so that it matches in a serving bowl of like colors. I say kudos (even though it’s bad for you) to the person. I highly doubt a designer made that choice, more like an exec. ‘Hey, lets make it pastel this year!’

Hmmm. But I LIKE candy corns. Yum! (Can you tell I am on a restricted sugar diet?)
As far as who made the ‘design decision’, I bet you it wasn’t a designer per se. It was most likely a production decision along with upper mgmt. Typical outcome of such decisions.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually had Candy Corn. Then again here in Canada everthing is hard and frozen.
