The Creative Group's 2007 Salary Guide

I just got The Creative Group’s 2007 salary guide in the mail. If measuring how your salary stacks up against the national averages isn’t enough motivation for you to place your order, it is also a handsome piece of design by itself. it has a die-cut cover, velum overlays, and some handsome typography. The information is not only a comprehensive report of salaries, but it is also an in-depth evaluation of the overall health of the current creative industry. Luckly, the news is good! The only thing not included in this little book is the courage to ask your boss for a raise! Sorry, you are on your own there. If you haven’t already ordered your free copy, call 1.888.846.1668 and they will hook you up. Highly recommended.

Did someone say free? I’m there. Awesome of them to do that, when usually even the wealthiest companies are always charging at least $25 to cover printing and production costs. What’s the word on this particular website and effectiveness in placing people with jobs? Any experience with them?

Thanks, Adrian. This was a rare instance of “free” actually meaning free. Name, address and phone # are all that’s required. And the woman on the phone was very pleasant.

I helped produce the TCG Salary Guide and our in-house design team did a wonderful job with the art - they even won Graphic Design USA’s Inhouse design award for it! The 2008 version is available, too, if you’re interested. Check it out at www.creativegroup.com.
