Be A Design Cast 32.5 : Horror Stories

A quick six-and-a-halfsie minute show filled with censored profanity and horror stories of bad job interviews to follow-up last week’s How to Hire A Designer podcast. Steve Gordon, Donovan and I reach near unprecidented levels of crazy in a surprisingly short amount of time. Enjoy.

I personally find the kazoo blowing to be a little bit offensive.

Ugh, don’t tell me horror stories now, I just quit my job! I too have had my share of nasty interviews – I can recall a case where this principal of a small design studio was so unimpressed with me I actually thought of asking “Should I continue?”. But then again, I’ve been on the other end where I’ve thought “I wouldn’t work here for a million dollars a year”.
Onwards and upwards, I suppose.

Uh think you could turn the blow dryer off in the background? Sheesh! Is this story about sucking or blowing?

You guys don’t have a clean tag who cares if you swear in the podcast? No FCC interference last I checked. Sounds like a super cool place to work though.

Oh MAN! Was this a fun one! To quotemy good pal Ron Burgundy, “That escalated quickly… I mean that really got out of hand fast!”
Thanks for having me on again guys. Hella funny and crazy true! The BADcast only brings the realness and truth to the peoples!

Hah, c*ck sucker test cracked me up. When I interviewed for a tech support job back in college, I was asked how I felt about gay porn, because they had ‘gay porn Tuesdays’.
Caught me off guard, but I rolled with it and got the job. It was their way of making sure that people there all had the same sense of humor / weren’t easily offended. The owner is now one of my best friends.
