I think that is my biggest complaint about Apple. They will abandon their old customers faster than anyone for "progress". I realize there are times to move on to new technology, but they do it every 6 months. Why don't my old purchased games work on my new Nano? I should at least have an option to purchase a discounted new version made for the Nano. I really doubt they try very hard to incorporate new technology for their older software and hardware.

Looks like <a href="http://www.beadesigngroup.com/blog/archives/2006/12/hd_dvd_vs_bluray_logo_1.php" rel="nofollow">I accurately predicted that Blu Ray would win</a> . . because of there slightly better but still horrible logo.

Thanks for the heads up about the videos not working on the 5G iPod. Will it work with the new Nano's or do you have to own an iPod touch or Apple TV to view rented movies?

yea - apples gotten themselves into quite a rut, in that they seem to make products better TOO fast. Like the macbook air, super sweet, but i think its a little too forward thinking almost. are we ready for a wireless world? there's no drive in that bad boy, so you can't just throw in Space Odyssey 2001.
Has anyone heard anything on when i might be able to slip a bluray movie into my mac and have it work? i realize it doesn't really matter on such a small screen (unless you're fortunate enough to have one of those 30" monstrousities) but as the world switches formats, it would be nice to pop in a movie and watch it on my laptop, despite it being bluray or one of the seven HD DVDs i've gotten to watch with my xbox hd dvd player. ;( It was good while it lasted.

Good news though for XBOX gamers. Looks like Microsoft may add a peripheral Blu-Ray now. I know their HD-DVD periph. was pretty nice/affordable.
