They will abandon their old customers faster than anyone for "progress". I realize there are times to move on to new technology, but they do it every 6 months. Why don't my old purchased games work on my new Nano? I should at least have an option to purchase a discounted new version made for the Nano. I really doubt they try very hard to incorporate new technology for their older software and hardware.
