Thanx Kyle for your lesson of customer relations learned at a "Fast Food' counter.
I would think, for me, i learned more in relating and offering services
(when i was a teenager) as a yard/lawn maintenance keeper. Knowing that the neighbor would 'see' the results of my work and hire me as
their regular keeper, was a important, foundational lesson for me.
The hard work and evidenced results were a catalyst for me to work extra hard to please the neighbor and establish a client base.
Working at a fa(s)t food restaurant, would have me 'on edge' because
the product i'm representing and fronting for, LOOKS BETTER IN THE ADVERTISEMENT. It's overly priced - usually not good for you - and when you present it to your customer, it does not match the actual depiction in the 'enhanced' ads presented. It does have a slight reward in a 'action' well done - but not in a 'job' well done. I would also be a rep for a corporation that wants to provide a product to a customer BUT with the intention to get more 'buck for your bang' ('blip'...rather in most cases). Not a very holistic start in customer/'servicer' development to me.
but that's just me.
