After all, it's can be difficult to turn down work when you think it may be the last time you hear from a client ‚Äì but working every day of the week does burn you out, and quality is the first thing to go. A few years ago I implemented a personal policy to take at least one day off a week (usually a Saturday or Sunday) even if the workload would make it hard to do. It's worth it. I always end up with more energy in the long run, and the other things you mention being interested in end up being worth more than a few extra dollars.
